An English Rose Wedding
I had the privilege of being a part of Charlotte's special day back in September. It was one of those days I won't forget for a long long time to come...
Charlotte and her mum were staying in the most idyllic little cottage on Dartmoor - if (like me) you swoon over Iris' cottage in the film 'The Holiday' I can guarantee that you would fall head over heels in love with Mooreland View Cottage - from the moment I stepped inside, and was greeted with the perfect little country kitchen, styled with such genius, to the cosy living room, complete with the open fireplace and comfy sofa's that I just dreamed of snuggling down on, to the classy bedrooms and bathroom with freestanding bath, I was wishing it was MY home! The cottage is styled in muted tones which make you feel so relaxed and calm, but in such a homely and stylish way, that you cant stop yourself looking at each and every detail. The garden of the cottage provided a perfect little place for the couple to have some photo's done later in the day.
Charlotte's mum provided a steady stream of lovely coffee for us all morning (most welcome on early wedding mornings!), and treated us all to a delicious lunch which she prepared. The morning felt so calm as the girls got ready, and I felt rather unprofessional as I actually shed tears with Charlotte when she looked in the mirror to see her completed hairstyle - to be able to help brides to feel that happy on their big day, and to feel beautiful is undoubtedly the best part of my job!
Charlotte went for a soft romantic curled up-do to compliment her classic dress, and also included a detailed lace and pearl accessory to add a little bit of sparkle to the hair. The bridesmaids had a classic low chignon which suited them perfectly.
The pictures speak for the rest of the day's beauty...stunning details including a fantastically decorated marquee, strawberry naked cake, sparklers, baskets for cards, and FAB old car to travel in...
